In 1982, as the first cases destined for the World Class Wines warehouse were shipping from Napa Valley , the American wine industry was at a turning point. Who could foresee the changes that would occur in the next twenty five years? Big brands were poised to go global. Small artisnal wineries were going national. The potential of wine regions we take for granted today – Russian River, Sonoma Coast, Paso Robles, Willamette Valley – was unknown, and Phylloxera was about to re-shuffle everyone's best laid plans. Obviously, much has changed in the last quarter century. But what has not changed since that first shipment is the World Class Wines commitment to the very best wines the world has to offer.
