You might
think Portugal is stuck in a time warp from the ox
carts ambling down the country roads. In fact, you
may still find men dancing on grapes in their underpants
in some of the wineries, but that is vanishing out
of necessity just like the Ox. Portugal has rounded
the corner and is on its way to converting thousands
of hectares of vines, many of them quite old into
modern style wine production. The wild rogue style
of Portuguese wines has not been made into history.
.It has just been highlighted and brought out of its
oxidative rustic phase to offer a more fruit driven
congenial drink.
