Our Japanese Sake Producers

Many of us had sake first served to us in the early days Japanese restaurants in the United States. It was served warm in a tiny carafe with little ceramic cups. Alongside it was a plate stacked with tempura, the Teppenyaki chefs twirled their knives and you sipped it thinking what brutal culture is this which drinks such liquid redolent of gym socks! Then one day, someone offered you a really good sake, too good to heat up. It was delicate and subtle, fruity and pure.  Now you see the light, sake is a beverage as pleasurable, complex and individual as the greatest wines of the world.

At World Class Wines we want to be that person who offers you your first really good sake.  We have the great honor of bringing to Minnesota the extraordinary selections of Joto Sake.  These are artisan sakes from some of Japan’s oldest, finest and often smallest producers. Each sake delivers its own unique personality and story to our list of selections. If you are thinking you don’t care for sake, let us change your mind.
